The programs at Acute Healthcare Institute are designed to provide students with the necessary skills to become a vital part of any dynamic healthcare team.

We currently offer Nursing Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, and Phlebotomy Technician programs.

The admission requirements for all programs are:

All students must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

  • Students must be at least 18 years of age, and

  • have High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid Government Issued photo ID (Driver’s license)

  • Social Security Card

  • Negative PPD Test or Chest X-Ray  

  • CLEAR Criminal Background Check  

  • Negative Drug Screen

 The following are required dependent upon the program or clinical site:

1. Able to pass a physical exam – see physical form

2. Proof of immunizations: TB skin test and other immunizations depending upon the program. Influenza may be required (during flu season) and Proof of COVID vaccination.

3. Proof of health insurance

Acute Healthcare Institute is licensed by the Private School Licensure Division as a Private school to offer programs of instruction within the state of Alabama.
