The mission of Acute Healthcare Institute is to provide the highest quality education in a professional learning environment that fosters experiential learning, academic integrity, critical thinking skills, leadership, and professionalism in a team approach to health care.

"In 2022 I graduated with a bachelor's degree, but had not found what I wanted for my life. Taking this course ignited a passion for healthcare I did not know was underneath the surface all along. Ms. Perry is one of the best teachers I have had the pleasure of learning under. She not only teaches you the material, but truly helps you understand the importance behind it. She is one of the most supportive and encouraging people I have ever met. I have decided to move forward with my career and pursue a nursing degree. Whenever I am struggling in a class, wondering if it is all worth it, I think back to Ms. Perry and how much she believed in me. I'll always carry what she taught us with me. I will always be grateful for her recognizing my calling in life." —M. Howard

Going into this course I did not realize I would meet people that would have such an impact on my life. Ms. Perry and Mrs. Redman have no idea how grateful I am that they were my instructors. They have helped me to feel as though I can really make an impact in the healthcare field. I thoroughly enjoyed this course and highly recommend it to anyone looking to become a CNA.

Through their teaching and guidance it was apparent that they really wanted us to excel in not just the course they were teaching us but also in life. They always made sure we were doing well both physically and mentally.  —Rani

I just want to say completing this phlebotomy class means a lot to me. Coming into this class, I was excited but definitely nervous too. I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but over time I became more confident in my skills and in myself…

My favorite part of the class was getting hands-on experience and learning how to actually work with patients. It made everything feel real, and I enjoyed seeing myself improve more and more each day…

This experience taught me that phlebotomy is way bigger than just drawing blood. It’s about being patient, making people feel comfortable, and caring for people even when they’re nervous or scared. That’s something I’ll always carry with me moving forward. —Z. Potts

The journey through this phlebotomy program had its highs and lows...One of my favorite parts was doing venipunctures getting a good vein and seeing that blood flow definitely became exciting for me. This experience taught me confidence, patience, and resilience, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. After receiving my certification, I plan to travel, gain experience in different places, and continue building my future in healthcare. —R. Wallace
