Nursing Assistant
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Duties may include: bathing, grooming and feeding patients; obtaining and monitoring vital signs; ambulatory assistance and comfort measures.
Acute Healthcare Institute's Nursing Assistant class is 4-weeks long and taught in hybrid format. Students will complete all required reading at home, assignments and tests are online. During the 4 weeks, students will come for in-person hands-on skills labs for 4-5 hours on scheduled dates with our highly skilled instructors. On the last 2 days students will wear maroon colored scrubs and go to the clinical site from 7:00am to 3:30pm for hands-on clinical learning experience with live patients.
The total cost of the class is $900. You can reserve your seat with a $300 down payment (this includes our $150 non-refundable registration application fee). We will set up a payment for the remaining balance in the amount of $150 due weekly starting the Friday before class starts. All costs must be paid on time, prior to attending the in-person skills labs and clinical learning experience site.
Upon successful completion of the class requirements, students will be eligible to take the Alabama Nurse Aide Registry examination to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Once you become certified in Alabama (you can then transfer that certification to another state, there is no additional cost to transfer the certification to Georgia).
